We live in a broken world among broken people. Genuine intimacy is a challenge for all of us, but some find it almost impossible to create and maintain loving relationships. God is a relational being and He created us for relationship. Sometimes we’ve been so hurt that we shut down and protect ourselves from further hurt by erecting impenetrable walls so others can’t get in, and we can’t get out. We need to place our trust in God, not in the walls we’ve built.
